“Attention Voters” – Not all of the races listed will appear on all ballots in the county, in the manner published, as some candidates are elected only by district and some candidate races are required to rotate. In compliance with 32-811, Nebraska Revised Statute, “If the names of candidates properly filed for nomination at the primary election do not exceed two candidates for each position to be filled, any such candidate(s) shall be declared nominated and their names shall not appear on any primary election ballots;” and “if the number of candidates properly filed for the nomination of a political party at the primary election for any county office election does not exceed the number of candidates to be nominated by that party for that office, any such properly filed candidate(s) shall be declared nominated and their names shall not appear on any primary election ballots.”
“Attention Nonpartisan Voters” – The State Democratic Party has allowed their entire ballot opened to nonpartisan voters. The Republican and Libertarian Parties only allow nonpartisan voters to vote on the federal races, U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
