General Election Voter Information

The Nebraska Secretary of State’s Office will be mailing out early voter applications to all registered voters the week of September 8th to September 16th.  If you do not receive an application and want to vote early by mail, please contact the County Clerk’s Office 402-372-6002. To vote early by mail, voters need to complete an early voter ballot application and return to the County Clerk’s Office by October 23rd at 6:00 p.m.  Early voting after October 23rd can be done in person at the County Clerk’s Office until November 2nd.  Applications can be mailed to 200 S Lincoln St, Rm 100, West Point, NE  68788, e-mailed to, or faxed to 402-372-6013.  Registered voters in Lincoln, Elkhorn, Bismark and Monterey Townships are in the SW4 precinct, which is an all-mail precinct.  Ballots will be mailed to these voters 10 to 22 days before election. No early voter application is required for voters in the SW4 precinct. To check the status of your early voter application follow this link

Important deadlines for the General Election –

Early voting begins – September 28 – early voter ballots will not be mailed out until after September 28

In-person early voting begins – October 5, 2020, at the County Clerk’s Office

Last day to accept a new voter registration or to make changes to your voter registration (address, name or party) by mail, electronically through the Secretary of State’s Office, Department of Motor Vehicles or other State agencies – October 16th.  Follow this link to register to voter or change your voter registration (address, name or party) electronically –

Last day for in-person voter registration or to make changes to your voter record (address, name or party) – Cuming County Courthouse – October 23 at 6:00 p.m.

Last day to vote early in person at the Clerk’s Office – November 2nd at 4:30 p.m.
